I received quotations from four solar companies and after wading through endless calculations I came up with a simple solution. Divide the total price by the total kW output. The result was South Coast came out at £1152/kW, the others ranged from £1341 to £1389. Initially anxious as South Coast Solar is a relatively new company. I asked a massive amount of questions and received totally satisfactory answers so went ahead with an installation. I agreed to go ahead on 26th August. A survey was carried out on the 28th .The scaffolding was up on the 5th September and the installation done today, the 7th. Everyone I met in person from the company, Tom, Peter, George and Arthur were all excellent, polite, helpful and efficient. The job was completed in one morning. I would definitely recommend this company.

I contacted South Coast Solar on the recommendation of a neighbour, from the initial contact I found them incredibly helpful, professional and knowledgeable. I did not feel pressured in any way act all, if fact they suggested I compare quotations. This instantly put me at ease as I don't enjoy a pressured sales experience! Once I had accepted the quotation, the installation was completed in a couple of weeks, this is a well oiled process with the scaffolding going up a couple of days prior and then coming down a day or 2 after installation. I was very impressed with the 2 chaps that installed the system, they worked so hard but were polite and helpful. It has taken me a while to write the review as I wanted to ensure that the savings promised were in fact correct. I can confirm that the information provided was very accurate and I am currently only paying the standing charge for my electricity, I used to pay approximately £110 this has reduced to approximately £14 pm. Any little issues have been resolved quickly and without any hassle, you always deal with the same small team who respond quickly to queries. From my experience, I would recommend a local family run business such as South Coast Solar. Jeremy & Andrew

The folks from South Coast Solar Solutions are great, easy to deal with and professional. The install today was efficient and hassle free. The chaps who did the install were polite, professional and cleaned up after themselves. The install itself is very tidy. I went up on the roof to inspect it closely and it looks really good. The lead installer took time to explain the system in detail and make sure I was happy. I'd certainly recommend them.

South Coast Solar designed, installed and commissioned our solar and battery system. When I was initially researching the team provided a very competitive quote, with a system that matched our requirements. When it came to the install we did have an issue with scaffolding, however I mention this only because I think it's important to say the team went above and beyond to sort it out and make sure the install was successful. The install itself was very fast, very clean and very neat, the team who came were fantastic. We've been completely off grid since system was turned on! Would happily work with the team again

Very professional, efficient and helpful; good initial consultation with Vince (company had been recommended to us by a friend who used them, so although we got a second company to quote, we were confident in going with S Coast Solar); a bit of back and forth to clarify final configuration and specification (Vince no longer there but hadn't told us he was retiring, which would have been helpful as I'd emailed and messaged him a couple of times, getting no response). However, then spoke to other members of the team (Dean, sharing his experience of the different panel suppliers, and Scott to discuss size of battery we should have), both very straight forward and gave you confidence they knew what they were doing. Install team were good, in particular the electrician, Arthur. Worked his socks off, a long day, but discussed the alternative layouts at the outset and then after install complete, discussed how to use the app. Cleaned up very well. Scaffolding subcontractors, RJ scaffolding from Bristol, were also very good; came when they said they would, two lovely blokes, friendly and professional. So, the only minor negative was they were not great at responding to emails, but when you called the office, they were extremely helpful and actioned any requests (Claire and Monira both lovely). All in all a very good experience; a quality installation, thank you to all of the team.

From the initial enquiry through to the completed installation, the entire process was seamless and professional. The installation of the solar panels, battery, and inverter was carried out to an excellent standard, and all of the necessary documentation was provided promptly and clearly. My new solar works started today. Matt and Joe kept me informed when to arrive. Started straight away. Took off my old panels which were heavy. Cleaned my roof off as I had birds under looked like new roof. Cleaned my guttering. Then fitted my new panels. Looks amazing how well they worked. Afterwards did another clean up on roof and did first class job clearing up. Better then they found it lol. Nice guys answered any questions I asked. I made sure there were cold drinks for them. Then time to leave. I can't fault them. So good to speak too. Thanks Matt and Joe Arthur who arrived went straight to work on electric side of the job. He ran white trunking to hide cable, can't see it better then my first insulation many years ago. He kept me informed on what he was doing. Made an excellent job in the garage, under the stairs. Cleaned up good. Nice guy to speake too. He helped me set up the App which im not very good at. Did a brilliant job today, great to have good workmen doing such big job in a day. I recommend the choice of South Coast Solar. The quotation/ consultant provided confidence for best solution. I thought the on-site installers were very good, thorough and knowledgeable, tidied up after. A complete package of site specific technical detail emailed swiftly as did the scafold removal. Certificate for grid export takes some weeks.
